Mariah Carey is set to return to Las Vegas with a new residency titled 'The Celebration of Mimi.' The global icon will perform eight shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM, celebrating the 19th anniversary of her album "The Emancipation of Mimi."
The residency will feature fan favorites from the album as well as other hits from her illustrious career. Packages for the exclusive engagement will go on sale to the public via MGXperience.com website on February 12 for the April 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 24, 26, and 21 shows.
Limited to only eight dates, this highly anticipated event is expected to be a major success, following Carey's previous successful residencies in the city.

The Emancipation of Mimi earned ten Grammy Award nominations: eight in 2006 for the original release, the most received by Carey in a single year, and two in 2007 for the Ultra Platinum Edition. Carey won Best Contemporary R&B Album and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song for "We Belong Together".
The Emancipation of Mimi was the best-selling album in the United States in 2005, with nearly five million units sold. It was the first album by a solo female artist to become the year's best-selling album since Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill in 1996. At the end of 2005, reported that The Emancipation of Mimi had sold more than 7.7 million copies globally, and was the second-best-selling album of the year after Coldplay. It has since sold 12 million copies worldwide.
